GAMEGUNE HEARTHSTONE TOURNAMENT RULES

All rules are subject to change at the sole discretion of GameGune and without notice.

Deck Rules

  • Each player must submit by Tuesday 17th of November the decklists from three unique classes prior to each stage of the event. Players cannot submit new decks prior to each stage of the event.
  • A player cannot have 2 decks of the same class.
  • Players must provide their own account and cards.
  • The use of new expansion cards is allowed in the tournament, ONLY the ones that are released until Monday 16th of November (included). Cards released after Monday 16th are not allowed.
  • A player must win one game with each of his three decks to win the match.
  • When a player wins a game, the deck used by the winning player cannot be used for the remainder of the match.
  • The loser can keep the deck used or switch to a different one of their choice.
  • Players will be told what classes their opponent has available, but they will not know which class is picked until both players have picked.  

Tournament Format

  • All matches will be best-of-5 on Conquest format. The first player to win 3 games within the match is considered the winner of the match and advances.
  • All matches will be played on the European region.
  • Time limit of 90 seconds per turn (as set in the game).
  • Between each game you have 5 minutes to select deck for the next game.
  • You are allowed to take notes during games but not use any 3rd party information.
  • If a game ends in a draw (eg. Hellfire kills both players) the game will be replayed using the same decks as the game started with.

Bracket Group stage, played on Friday 20th:

  • 4 groups of 4 players each (a total of 3 matches each).
  • The best 2 players of each group move on to the next stage on Saturday 21st.

Single Elimination stage, played on Saturday 21st:

  • 8 players will take part in this stage.
  • The winner of each match moves to the next round, and the loser of each is eliminated from the tournament.

Listening to music during the matches

  • Mobile phones should be switched off or put into flight mode.
  • You are allowed to use your own mp3 player or phone in flight mode for music.
  • Players have to bring their own music earphones.
  • The tournament PCs should only be used to play Hearthstone, you cannot play music on them for instance since we stream both audio and video from them.

Disqualification and cheating

Players must compete to the best of their ability at all times. Any form of cheating will not be tolerated.

  • If a player does not arrive on time to the match, he will be automatically disqualified.
  • Admins have the final say on all rulings and in extreme situations the rules can be changed.
  • If the admin determines that a player is cheating, the player will be immediately disqualified and removed from the tournament and may be restricted from participating in any events in the future, and have all of their licenses to all Blizzard games revoked.
  • All players must behave in a humane way towards other competitors and event staff. Inappropriate conduct is subject to admin ruling.
