The Spanish Jacobo beats the American 'Firebat' in the final of Gamegune 2015

 

 

Jacobo Sánchez has won the international gaming competition Gamegune 2015. In a extremely exciting final, the Spanish gamer has beaten the American James 'Firebat' Kostesich. Firebat was the world's champion in the Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft game in 2014, and now holds the fourth position.

Jacobo, member of the Stonetemplars team, had to make a big effort to win the penultimate round against the German Jan 'Ek0p' Palys. On the other hand, Firebat, member of Team Archon, reached the final after beating one of the favorites, Esteban AKAWonder Serrano, who signed up in January with the German team SKGaming.

In the final, both have demonstrated their great talent to a fervent auditorium, in the Guggenheim Museum. The winner has take in 12.000 euros, and his rival 6.000. The semifinalists AKAWonder and Ek0p have won 3.000 euros, while the ones classified amongst the fifth and eight positions will have 300 euros each one.
